Recent Work

Innocent spots on a hallucinatory cow? Patterns of decay? Colorful camouflage? A tale of manipulation told by surface stitches makes us question why there's been a need for alteration and interference here. What has been removed? What remains?

What forms does atonement take?

Sweetness, fragility, innocence. A christening gown hanging chastely with its crown-of-thorns halo. What is being tendered here? Is there a bargain about to be struck? Who might exploit this innocent? Who will save it?
Paper Warrior

In our frighteningly complex world how does one define a Warrior? Perhaps there is bravery in places we've yet to discover.......places of vulnerability where imperfections are celebrated, where the flawed is eternally beautiful, and where chain mail made of paper and weaponry made of twigs conceals a power we have failed to notice.
Woman Consumed

What or Whose passion has consumed this woman? Why is her robe charred; her collar singed and damaged? Who is she? Witch? Saint?
Martyr? Widow?
Fisrt Wife

A garment of "leaves" is pierced by three arrows. Is this a mortal wound or one ordained to be repeated over and over?

M-T

A tactile work inspired by classical Buddhism's concept of Sunya, or emptiness.
