Arrangements
Painted cast paper on canvas,
dried flowers, wood, wire, feathers, wax

This wall relief has been installed in the home of a former
gallery owner, arts writer and critic, where it enjoys the
company of numerous contemporary art pieces.
It celebrates the passage
of time by highlighting the decayed, yet fragile beauty of the dried wilted roses imbedded in
its surface, bringing to mind the faded glory of delicate old wallpaper. |
Additionally, it supports two wire baskets filled with feathers to which are attached tiny printouts of random days and times, (a perpetual calendar of arrangements?) each anchored to the quill of a feather by a drop of beeswax.
