Inspired by classical Buddhism's concept of Sunya, or emptiness, this beautifully tactile work lined with over 800 emptied tea bags, opens itself to be filled with whatever the moment brings to it. Here the positive presence of the void, or negative space, becomes tangibly defined even as the title, emptied of excess letters, expresses not only the shape of the vestment, but its state of being and non-being.
